The price of Gayo Arabica coffee from Aceh Province was sold at the highest price of IDR 2.5 million per kilogram (kg) in an international auction.

One of the bidders, Armiyadi, from Central Aceh Regency in Takengon said the Gayo coffee with the highest price was the first winner of the taste test results in the 2021 Indonesia Cup of Excellence (CEO) competition. “At last night’s auction it was sold at a price of IDR 2.5 million per kg.

The coffee was from Pantan Musara Aceh Tengah owned by Dilen Ali Gogo,” said Armiyadi as quoted by Antara, Friday, January 28, 2022. According to him, the green bean category of gayo coffee sold 210 kilograms with a total selling price of IDR 525 million.

Central Aceh will have a dry port to maintain the quality of Gayo coffee exports

ACEH TENGAH – The Regency of Central Aceh together with the Ministry of Transportation plans to build a dry port.

The seriousness of this plan was seen in a meeting between the Regent of Central Aceh, Shabela Abubakar and the Ministry of Transportation team at the Central Aceh Regent’s Hall, Friday (11/6/2021).

According to Shabela, the purpose of building the Dry Port is to increase the Regional Original Revenue (ROR) of Central Aceh Regency and maintain the authenticity of the Gayo Coffee that will be delivery. “With the construction of a Dry Port in Central Aceh district, we hope that later we can increase ROR, while also maintaining the authenticity of the Gayo Coffee that we will be export,” said Shabela.
